A Wee Bit About Me…
I’m Kyle Blain, a 22-year-old artist from Clackmannanshire, Scotland, currently in my final year at the Glasgow School of Art, where I specialise in Painting and Printmaking.
My practice comes from a lifelong love of making, shaped early on through music, photography, and graphic design. These influences continue to inform my work, which explores themes of music, identity, nature, and pop culture. I combine expressive, abstract brushwork with moments of realism to create paintings that feel both personal and relatable.
Whether drawing from old family photos, cultural icons, or everyday moments, my work aims to connect with people and reflect the shared experiences that shape us.

Degree Show
My recent project “Common People” is a painting series that captures quiet, everyday moments of working-class life, inviting viewers to reflect on their own memories, families, and sense of belonging.
A section of the work will be displayed at the Glasgow School of Art Degree Show between the 30th of May - 8th of June.
