A wee bit about me…

From Clackmannanshire, Scotland, I am 21 years old, currently in my third year at the Glasgow School of Art, specialising in painting and printmaking. My artistic journey began at a young age, with a focus on the creative process. During my later years in secondary school, I found success in Art, Music, Photography, and Graphic Design, setting the stage for my formal education in Fine Art.

My art centres around themes of music, identity, and pop culture, using somewhat abstract brushwork to create unique and expressive yet realistic pieces. Alongside my academic pursuits, I manage my own business, "Kyle Blain Art," which has led to some exciting opportunities. I have exhibited at the Holy Art Gallery in London and Athens, highlighting the growing interest in my work. I work regularly on commissioned work, and I maintain an online presence through my website.

I've had the privilege of having my work featured in publications like the Daily Record and the Alloa Advertiser, and I've shared my artistic journey on a few radio shows. Notably, my solo exhibition in my hometown drew over 100 attendees in April 2023.

Active on social media, particularly @kyleblain_art on TikTok, where I share my creative process, I appreciate the support I've received, with over 5000 followers and videos reaching a quarter of a million views. Balancing these achievements with the demands of student life, I'm driven by a passion for art and self-expression. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Tag anybody you think would be interested in the comments! ~ Tomorrow is my 2nd solo exhibition and I’m hoping to have as many people come along as possible! It’s open Friday the 3-8th of May at Sterling Mills in Tillicoultry! I am a 21-year-old artist from Clackmannan, currently studying at the Glasgow School of Art studying Painting & printmaking. It’s my first hometown exhibition since exhibiting in London at the start of this year and my first solo show since last year at Clackmannan town hall. 🎨 You will be able to see a mix of my old and new works, covering a range subjects like celebrity pop culture to animals and nature. Here’s a new artwork for the exhibition! I done a new Beatles painting on my wooden table, which I accidentally broke. However, it turned out to be a great canvas! You can check it out and buy it at Sterling Mills Shopping Outlet from May 3rd to 8th.
