Art Residency at The Hive, Alloa
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded an art residency at The Hive in Alloa, which will run until the end of this year. This opportunity has been made possible through support from The Family Wellbeing Partnership, a community-led initiative that brings services together to support families, tackle poverty, and improve wellbeing through preventative, place-based approaches.
The Hive is an amazing community hub and youth space in Alloa linked with the Wasp Community Club and Alloa Athletic FC. It provides support, activities, and opportunities for young people and their families. It’s a place where creativity, learning, and community spirit can come together, and I feel really lucky to be part of it.
In my role as a community artist, I’ll be running inclusive art projects and workshops that bring people together, encourage creative expression, and help build a real sense of belonging across Clackmannanshire. These projects will be shaped by local voices and experiences, with the aim of creating meaningful legacy pieces for the community. I’m really excited to get started and will be sharing ways for people to get involved along the way. I can’t wait to see the work we create together and the connections that grow from it.
